Whether you live in Haworth, elsewhere in the UK or in a different place entirely there is always something you can do to get involved with Fair Trade.
In Haworth:
Buy and use fairly traded goods whenever you can. Look for the fairtrade Mark or shop in ethically responsible shops. Every single time you go shopping you make a difference to someone's life. If you buy Fairly Traded products you can be sure that this is a positive difference. If you don't buy Fairly Traded Products you have no idea what the impact is. It really is that simple.
Come to the next meeting and help organise for Fair Trade Village status.
If you are a local trader stock and use Fair Trade products.
Across the UK:
Buy and use fairly traded goods whenever you can.
If you don't live in an area that has Fair Trade Town status get in touch with the Fairtrade Foundation and see if you can help your community to join the movement.
Internationally:
Everyone is a consumer many are producers. Fairly traded products are available in 17 different countries. Visit the Fairtrade Labelling Organisation web site to find out more.
In other places it may be possible to identify and support businesses and organisations, such as cooperatives, that are more ethical in their trading methods. |
