Fair Trade Way

Good news time. The Fair Trade Way has been launched. Have a look at the website and maybe even have a go at a day or 6!

The Fair Trade Way is a long-distance footpath is designed as a 6-day walk between Garstang (The World’s first Fairtrade Town) and Keswick (A very active Fairtrade Town). It is designed to promote the positive impact that using Fairtrade products can have on the lives of people who suffer whilst they produce the resources that we in the more wealthy countries consume in our everyday lives. On this route, walkers are encouraged to use Fairtrade food, drinks and accommodation serving Fairtrade products when they are walking.

Fair Intents

Fair Intents was an Eco-Fair held over the weekend of the 11/12 September 2010. Music, stalls and information were all in the Bronte Parsonage Meadow for those 2 days. The event was ambitious but highly successful with well over 1500 people attending. The event will be held again on the second weekend in September 2011. For more information have a look at the Fair Intents website. The video below shows just some of the activities that went on on the Saturday. Come and join us next year. More information will be available on both sites nearer the event.

Fairtrade Fortnight 2011

FTF 2011

For Fairtrade Fortnight 2011 the Fairtrade Foundation is asking the nation to show off about buying Fairtrade and the impact it has on producers.

We want everyone to get loud and proud about Fairtrade, whether it’s the cake they baked using Fairtrade sugar or the Fairtrade products they stock and sell.
